KIEV, October 25 (RIA Novosti) - The party of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has drafted a coalition agreement for the members of the country's Verkhovna Rada parliament, a statement posted on Poroshenko's website said Saturday.
"My team has already prepared a draft coalition agreement. It is based on 'Strategy 2020'. This is a plan of changes developed by us, and their implementation will ensure our commitment to the European standards of living and the country's rightful place in the world, the statement said.
"By 2020, Ukraine should be ready to apply for membership in the European Union," it added.
The Petro Poroshenko Bloc, a Ukrainian liberal-conservative party, previously known as Solidarity party, has presented its election program, called "Strategy 2020" aiming to implement 60 reforms and special programs that will make Ukraine eligible to apply for EU membership within six years.
The Ukrainian president also hopes that by 2020 Ukraine will have entered the top 20 Global Competitiveness and Business ranking.
