MOSCOW, October 25 (RIA Novosti) - The chiefs of World Bank and United Nations (UN) are due in Kenya next week to hold talks on regional security and development, Xinhua reported.

World Bank President Jim Yong Kim and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon are set to visit Nairobi on October 28, Xinhua reported Friday.

The two leaders will hold talks with Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta to discuss regional integration and economic opportunities.

Jim Yong Kim and Ban Ki-moon will visit Kenya at a time when the country is experiencing economic growth.

According to Xinhua, Kenyan officials are optimistic about the improved international perception of the country, which can make Kenya an attractive investment destination.

According to the World Bank, Kenya has recently become the 5th largest economy in Sub-Saharan Africa. Its economic growth in 2013 was 5.7 percent and the size of its economy is 25 percent higher than previously thought. Kenya has the largest economy in East Africa and is an important World Bank partner in fighting global poverty and promoting development.
