KIEV, October 26 (RIA Novosti) - Three cases of death were recorded at polling stations in Ukraine during the elections to the Verkhovna Rada as of 03:00 p.m. local time (13:00 GMT), acting Health Minister Vasily Lazorishinets stated Sunday.
"Unfortunately, to date, such cases have been recorded. And according to the information that we have, three cases have been recorded," Lazorishinets said.
According to the acting minister, cases were registered in the Chernivtsi and Ternopil Regions and in the city of Slavyansk in the Donetsk region. The Minister assured that all of these cases had to do with impaired cardiac function.
Early parliamentary elections are underway in Ukraine. Ukrainians are going to the polls to vote in 424 members of parliament — 225 of them from party lists and 199 in single-candidate constituencies. The electoral threshold has been set at five percent.
