WASHINGTON, November 1 (RIA Novosti) – Richard Branson, the co-founder of Virgin Galactic is on his way to US Mojave Dessert in California, where the Virgin Galactic Spaceship crashed on Friday during a test flight.
"Thanks for all your messages of support. I'm flying to Mojave immediately to be with the team," Branson wrote on his Twitter account Friday.
Virgin Galactic’s statement said that during the test the vehicle suffered a serious anomaly resulting in the loss of SpaceShipTwo.
The SpaceShipTwo is a suborbital, air-launched spaceship designed for space tourism.
Virgin Galactic is now working closely with relevant authorities in order to determine the cause of the accident, according to the company’s statement.
