DONETSK, November 3 (RIA Novosti) – Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics (DPR and LPR) confirm their obligations outlined in the Minsk agreements and are ready to continue dialogue with Kiev if it acts reasonably, the joint statement by DPR and LPR said.

"We confirm our obligations. And remind Kiev authorities that they have accepted our conditions and should also fulfill them in full scale," the joint statement by DPR's Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Purgin and the chairman of LPR's Supreme Council Alexei Karyakin read.

"We guarantee that the elected leaders [of DPR and LPR] will continue the dialogue with Kiev, if it acts reasonably," the statement added.

On November 2, DPR and LPR residents went to the polls to vote for heads of local governments and representatives of local legislative bodies. There were no violations to the electoral process recorded that could affect the results. The elections were monitored by observers from a number of European countries and the United States.

EU and US authorities announced earlier that the elections were not in line with the Minsk agreements on the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. Russia, on the contrary, has expressed its intention to recognize the elections and emphasized that condemning them would undermine efforts to reach a peace settlement in Ukraine.
