Shelling continues in Donetsk on the day of Donetsk People's Republic prime minister inauguration, according to report.

DONETSK, November 4 (RIA Novosti) — Shelling continues in Donetsk on the newly elected Donetsk People's Republic's prime minister's inauguration day, RIA Novosti's correspondent reported from the scene Tuesday.

Earlier today, it was reported that the Ukrainian forces used incendiary weapons as fighting resumed Monday night near the Donetsk airport. A newly reconstructed residential building was seriously damaged during the shelling.

In addition, shootings took place near the city of Horlivka. According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, three soldiers sustained injuries.

On Sunday, the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic held elections for the head of local governments and representatives of legislative bodies. With 100 percent of ballot lists counted, acting Prime Minister Aleksander Zakharchenko was confirmed as the official leader of the DPR. Zakharchenko won the election with 75.5 percent of votes. His inauguration is under way in Donetsk.
