MOSCOW, November 4 (RIA Novosti) — Secretary General of Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah warned Israel of the party's readiness for a conflict and urged the country to beware of Hezbollah's rockets, Lebanon's The Daily Star newspaper reported.
"They [Israel] know that going to war with the resistance will be very costly because we are more determined, stronger, more experienced," Nasrallah told his supporters at celebrations of Ashoura Shiite holiday in the outskirts of Beirut on Monday.
Nasrallah added that Israel would have to close down its major Ben Gurion airport and Haifa port due to Hezbollah's firepower.
"You should close all of your airports and your ports because there is no place extending on the land of occupied Palestine that the resistance's rockets cannot reach," Nasrallah said.
Hezbollah is a Lebanese Shiite paramilitary and political organization. Recognized as a terrorist group by many Western countries, but not by Russia, Hezbollah is one of Israel's most powerful opponents.
The last large-scale armed conflict between Israel and Hezbollah took place in 2006, when Tel Aviv conducted an invention to southern Lebanon. Currently members of Shiite Hezbollah are fighting the Islamic State Sunni terrorist group in Syria, which has seized vast territories across Syria and Iraq.
