MOSCOW, November 4 (RIA Novosti) — The inauguration ceremony of the newly-elected head of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) Igor Plotnitsky started in its capital Luhansk.
The event brings together the LPR leadership, the republic's parliament members, militias, representatives of public organizations and clergy. There are about 100 guests in total.
During the ceremony, Plotnitsky is to take an oath on the Bible and on the constitution of the republic.
Earlier on Tuesday, DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko was inaugurated in Donetsk.
On November 2, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics held general and parliamentary elections. Plotnitsky won the election, garnering 63.8 percent of the votes, according to the republic’s Central Election Commission
