DONETSK, November 8 (RIA Novosti) — Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has established November 10 as Police Day.
"To establish the professional holiday – Police Day of Donetsk People's Republic and celebrate it on November 10," DPR leader's decree issued Saturday said.
The decree also says the day of the formation of the republic's Interior Ministry shall be July 17, 2014.
Last Sunday, the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics (DPR, LPR) held elections to choose their leaders and legislative bodies. Alexander Zakharchenko was elected leader of DPR having received 75.5 percent of the votes. In LPR, Igor Plotnitsky became the leader. He secured 63.8 percent of the votes.
