Ed Miliband is dramatically loosing his popularity, according to the recent poll and may leave his post of the leader of the British Labour party in near future.

MOSCOW, November 9 (RIA Novosti) — Ed Miliband may lose his post as the leader of the British Labour party in near future, Observer newspaper's sources revealed Saturday.

"There is a significant number of frontbenchers who are concerned about Ed's leadership – or lack of leadership – and would be ready to support someone who is a viable candidate. Alan [Alan Johnson, former Home Secretary] is that candidate. If Alan indicated he would do it, there would be a massive move," a senior Labour member of parliament told Observer.

"It [dissatisfaction with Miliband] has reached critical mass now," another source told the newspaper.

Popularity of the leader of the Labour has been plummeting recently. According to the poll, conducted by YouGov, only 34 percent of the party's supporters are satisfied with its leader, compared to 51 percent in October.

Ahead of Britain's May 2015 national elections, Labour party is losing momentum and may give seats in the parliament to the Scottish National Party instead of gaining popularity. Weakening of the Labour's positions reflects the general ongoing shift in the British political landscape with the rise of euroscepticism and right-wing political forces.
