MOSCOW, November 9 (RIA Novosti) — Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott announced that the impending G20 summit aims to achieve concrete positive results, improving the lives of millions of people worldwide, AFP reported on Sunday.

"It won't be a talkfest. It's an economic summit — so it will focus on what can be done to create jobs, identify tax cheats and improve the world economy," Abbot said in a statement, cited by AFP. "We have a very clear goal — to boost global economic growth by two percent above what is currently expected over the next five years," he added.

G20 countries consider the promotion of stronger and more sustainable economic growth as one of the highest priorities for 2014.

“Strengthening growth and creating jobs is our top priority and we are fully committed to taking decisive actions to return to a job-rich, strong, sustainable and balanced growth path. […] We will identify the remaining key obstacles to be addressed and reforms needed to achieve stronger, more sustainable and balanced growth in our economies,” stated the St. Petersburg G20 Leaders' Declaration.

The 2014 G20 summit will take place on November 15-16 in Brisbane, Australia. The meeting aims at promoting dialogue and cooperation between industrialized countries and emerging economies with special emphasis on job creation, financial markets transparency, terrorism financing prevention and ensuring economic resilience against potential shocks and fluctuations.
