MOSCOW, November 10 (RIA Novosti) — Rosneft will be able to annually deliver to China an additional 5 million ton of oil, the company's Chief Igor Sechin said.
"We agreed on an additional point of delivery of oil, and now, besides Skovorodino, where, as is known, there is an offshoot on Mohe and Daqing, we will also be able to deliver additional volumes by a different route. It is 5 million ton for the period while the pipelines on the Chinese side are being expanded," Sechin told the "Rossiya-24" TV channel Sunday.
During the APEC summit that is currently taking place in Beijing Russia and China have signed a technical agreement on a temporary change of the route for the oil deliveries.
In summer of 2013, Rosneft and the Chinese CNPC agreed on oil deliveries of 360 million ton to China for a period of 25 years. The total amount of the deliveries is estimated to be $270 billion.
