BRISBANE, November 15 (Sputnik) — Kremlin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov denied information that earlier appeared in Western media, which said that Russian President Vladimir Putin can leave the G20 summit early due to talks over Ukrainian crisis.
“This is nonsense. The interlocutors raise these questions, but it is a common, routine situation,” Peskov told journalists.
Earlier today, Reuters reported that the program of the second summit day has been cut short for Putin, because Russian leader faced pressure from the West over Ukraine.
The G20 summit is held on November 15-16 in the Australian city of Brisbane. It is the first time that Australia hosts a meeting of global leaders at such a scale.
