MOSCOW, November 17 (Sputnik) – Two men have been hospitalized after a chemical leak at a metal plant in Scotland, the BBC reports.
Firefighters responded to reports of a leaking valve and vapor cloud at Ireland Alloys, on Whistleberry Road at 6:09 a.m local time. Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus and chemical suits stopped the leak and dispersed the cloud, the BBC said.
Two factory workers were in the factory during the incident. They were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Hairymres Hospital in East Kilbride. Firefighters left the scene at 8:30 a.m. local time after stopping the leak and ventilating the building, the BBC said.
