MOSCOW, November 20 (Sputnik) — At least two people were wounded in a shooting incident at the Tallahassee campus of Florida State University, ABC News reported Thursday, citing officials at Tallahassee Memorial Health Care.
No information on the condition of the victims or whether the injured are students of the university are available yet, according to the news outlet.
A "dangerous situation" emergency message was sent out by the university, advising students to take shelter.
One of the students, Tony Haywood, told ABC News a police officer contacted people on the campus, saying the shooter was detained.
“He said to stay away from doors and windows and to stay where we were. We all waited then the police came back on and said the gunman was in custody and to stay where we were,” Haywood was quoted as saying by ABC News.
Police have not commented on the incident.
