KIEV, November 20 (Sputnik) — US Vice President Joe Biden has arrived in Kiev on Thursday evening, where he plans to hold talks with Ukrainian leaders.
“American delegation’s plane has landed in the international ‘Borispol’ airport at 20.31 local time [6.31 p.m. GMT],” Ukrainian news agency UNIAN reported.
According to the US embassy in Kiev, during his visit, Biden will discuss the Minsk agreement implementation process, as well as the issue of new government formation and ways to solve the corruption problem in Ukraine.
On Friday, Biden is expected to meet with Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and the country’s President Petro Porosheko. Following the talks, Biden and Poroshenko will make a joint press statement.
