"We have a lot of questions concerning perspectives for political settlement in Syria, call it Geneva-3 or whatever you want. Of course, this cannot be discussed without Syrians, that's why the upcoming visit is so important," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.
Syria's top diplomat will visit Moscow on November 26.
The two previous reconciliation talks, held in Geneva and involving the Syrian government, opposition forces and international mediators, failed to produce any practical solution to the protracted civil war in the country.
In October, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on all states neighboring Syria to participate in the talks on the settlement of the crisis in the country which include Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Lebanon.
Syrian civil war broke out in 2011 and has since claimed the lives of almost 200,000 people, according to UN estimates. The government forces are fighting against the Islamic State jihadist group and opposition rebel forces.
