TOREZ (Donetsk region), November 23 (Sputnik) — Experts from the Security Council of Netherlands have arrived in Pelageevka close to the city of Torez in Ukraine’s Donetsk region to control the departure of a train carrying wreckage of Boeing 777 aircraft (flight MH17), which crashed in eastern Ukraine in July, a RIA Novosti reporter said.
Eleven gondolas were loaded with plane wreckage found and collected near to Grabovo and Rassipnoye villages, while another closed-top railway car was loaded with smaller parts. Another passenger car is used to carry experts, as well as the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe monitors and several eastern Ukrainian independence supporters.
Earlier the DPR Ministry of Transport confirmed that the local militia will accompany the train until the Yasinovataya station, from there the train will be under protection of Ukrainian army. The train will then head to Kharkiv, and from there – to the Netherlands.
On July 17, Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur crashed in eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 people on board.
According to a preliminary report issued by the Dutch Safety Board early in September, the plane most likely broke up in mid-air as a result of structural damage caused by a large number of high-energy objects that penetrated the aircraft from the outside.
Kiev accused independence supporters in eastern Ukraine of shooting the plane down, but has not provided any evidence to back this claim. The local militia leaders said that they do not have weapons capable of shooting down a plane flying at 32,000 feet.
