Day Two: Rallies Continue After Explosive Grand Jury Decision

Protesters around the country participated in more than 100 rallies following the grand jury decision to not indict Darren Wilson for the shooting of unarmed teenager Michael Brown.

Hundreds turned out in 37 states with some of the biggest gatherings in New York, Washington, Boston, Chicago Los Angeles, Baltimore, and Atlanta as well as St. Louis. Some — such as Boston — are continuing well into the night. Missouri Governor Jay Nixon ordered 2,200 guardsmen in an attempt to keep the peace in Ferguson and St. Louis but violence still escalated, tear gas was again used, and another police cruiser was destroyed.
