MOSCOW, December 1 (Sputnik) – At least 6 people have been arrested in St. Louis amid protests against a grand jury decision not to indict officer Darren Wilson, who fatally shot African-American teenager Michael Brown, the city police has informed on Twitter.
"This afternoon, 6 individuals were arrested during protests in Downtown #STL — 4 in Kiener Plaza & 2 at 9th/Cole. There were no injuries," the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department wrote on its official Twitter page Sunday.

On Saturday, the Office of Missouri Governor announced that Jay Nixon was planning to provide more funding for the state's National Guard and the Missouri State Highway Patrol to continue their operations in Ferguson and the St. Louis region.
The St. Louis area has recently witnessed a number of mass protests, after 18-year-old African-American Michael Brown was shot dead by white police officer Darren Wilson in Ferguson on August 9 and another St. Louis African-American teenager of the same age, Vonderrit Myers, was shot dead by an off-duty white police officer on October 8.
On Monday, the Ferguson grand jury decided not to bring charges against Wilson. The controversial jury decision led to massive protests that swept across 180 US cities of 38 different states.
In Ferguson, protesters and rioters clashed with police and a beefed-up deployment of 2,200 members of the National Guard.
