MOSCOW, December 2 (Sputnik) – Capitol Hill is “days” away from releasing a CIA Torture Report, Senate Intelligence Committee chair Dianne Feinstein said late Monday, according to the Daily Beast.
Earlier, it was reported that the committee and the US government had more than 400 issues of disagreement over the report. However, on Monday Feinstein said only two issues were left to negotiate before the report could be made public, the Daily Beast said.
The Senate Intelligence Committee voted to release parts of the CIA document back in April. Now, there is a new challenge for the committee to speed up the release, as Republicans will take over the Senate in 2015 and some of them would not be eager to make the Democrats’ findings public, the Daily Beast said.
