MOSCOW, December 2 (Sputnik) — According to a report by Express Online Newspaper based in Cologne, the area around Heumarkt Square in the city center of Cologne in Germany received a bomb threat. The police cordoned off the area, highway traffic was stopped and there are still six fire brigades at the location, reports RIA Novosti.
A local agency in Cologne received an anonymous phone call; the caller said that a planned bomb blast was to occur in the city center.
Currently the police have not made any statements, but it is reported that the evacuation of people staying at a nearby hotel has begun.
