MOSCOW, December 2 (Sputnik) — A number of Ukrainian lawmakers have introduced a draft bill to terminate a bilateral agreement on cooperation and partnership between Russia and Ukraine, said an announcement published on Ukrainian parliament’s official website.
The draft bill is aimed at the “denunciation of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation”, which was signed by the countries in 1997.
The six parliament members listed as initiators of the bill are not part of any parliament faction, but are members of the nationalist All-Ukrainian Union Svoboda Party.
