Polish government's press service said that Polish Prime Minister has set up a working group to determine a plan to support Polish nationals in Ukraine.

MOSCOW, December 9 (Sputnik) — Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz has set up a working group to determine a plan to support Polish nationals in Ukraine, Polish Press Agency has said quoting Polish government's press service.

The working group, that includes Interior Ministry and Foreign Ministry representatives, is expected to urgently work on the plan to aid Polish nationals with their return to the country.

"The issue of helping Polish nationals in Ukraine has been discussed," Polish government's press service was cited as saying by the agency following Kopacz's meeting with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and National Defense Minister Tomasz Siemoniak, Interior Minister Teresa Piotrowska and Foreign Minister Grzegorz Schetyna.

According to the press service, the working group is expected to present its proposals during a government session on Tuesday.

Ukraine is currently suffering from a military confrontation between the Kiev forces and independence supporters of the country's eastern regions, with civilians among the victims of the fighting.

The conflict began in mid-April when the Kiev government launched a military operation in Ukraine's south-east in an attempt to suppress the independence supporters who did not recognize the new government that came to power after the February coup.
