MOSCOW, December 9 (Sputnik) – Former USSR President Mikhail Gorbachev said there is a discussion is taking place on strategy for global stabilization, as it was proposed during his recent trip to Berlin.
“There are still discussions underway,” Gorbachev told RIA Novosti. “At that, we are about to select several people in order to create a core of the founding members.”
The former President refused to disclose the names of possible participants of the global stabilization project.
Previously, Gorbachev said he was working out a strategy, allowing for stabilization in international affairs. The idea, he said, could result in a global dialogue panel, with the power to impact the work of national and international institutions worldwide. According to Gorbachev, he received the suggestion for the idea during his trip to Berlin, where he was an honorary guest at the festivities dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. The former President did not specify whether his strategy would take the shape of a documented proposal or a project international discussions panel.
