MOSCOW, December 14 (Sputnik) – The US Administration's inaction toward protests against racial discrimination highlight systemic problems in the human rights sphere, Russian Foreign Ministry's Human Rights Ombudsman Konstantin Dolgov wrote on his Twitter account Sunday.
"The protests and [US] Administration's inaction make more obvious systemic problems in the field of human rights and rule of law in the United States," Dolgov said.
Konstantin Dolgov has already pointed out to gross violations of human rights by US authorities. On Thursday, Dolgov noted that disclosed torture practices by CIA agents confirmed that human rights violations in the United States were of systematic character.
The wave of protests against racial inequality erupted across the United States after a chain of incidents involving uncharged killings of African-Americans by white police officers. The incidents have caused massive public outcry in the United States, with thousands of people marching in New York and Washington in protest against police brutality.
