MOSCOW, December 19 (Sputnik) – A Skype conference between the representatives of the Minsk Contact Group on the Ukrainian crisis is to be held at 3:00 p.m. (12:00 GMT) on Friday, the representative from the eastern Ukrainian self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic said.
“There will be a Skype conference today at 3:00 p.m.,” Donetsk News Agency quoted Denis Pushilin as saying.
In September, Kiev and local militia forces agreed on a ceasefire at the meeting of the so-called Contact Group, comprising representatives of Kiev, independence supporters, Moscow and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). However, following the agreement the opposing parties have repeatedly accused each other of violating the truce.
The current ceasefire was expected to be followed by a meeting of the Contact Group on December 12, which was later postponed until Sunday. Skype conference will be a preparation for the talks on December 21.
