Allegedly, one of the suspects used a mobile sim card, which had previously been used by the militants during the attack on the school. Once the sim card was used again, the authorities managed to track the suspects down. The sim card was registered under the name of the woman, who has been taken into custody along with three men from the district of Bahawalpur, Cihan News Agency said.
Inspector General (IG) Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Nasir Durrani said a special team was organized to investigate the terrorist attack that took place on Tuesday. The team is currently working with all available evidence. Durrani said the investigation had spread beyond the borders of Pakistan, the Straits Times reports.
The militants involved in the attack had been in direct communication with one of the organizers – Umar Naray, also known as Umar Khalifa Adinzai, a well-known commander of the Pakistani Taliban. According to senior Pakistani military officials, in addition to the attack on the school, Naray has been directing suicide attacks throughout the country, the Straits Times said.

The attack at the Army Public School and College in the city of Peshawar on Tuesday was the deadliest the country had ever seen. The Taliban militants killed 132 children and 9 staff members; over 100 people are also said to be injured, according to CNN.
The Taliban said the attack was revenge to the Pakistani government’s military operations in North Waziristan, CBC New said.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said the attack was a national tragedy and “unless this country [Pakistan] is cleansed from terrorism, this war and effort will not stop.”
