MOSCOW, December 19 (Sputnik) — Seven Palestinians were injured as Israeli soldiers dispersed an anti-occupation protest in the West Bank, Anadolu Agency reported.
The news outlet said that three people were wounded by live fire, and four others by rubber bullets. Four protesters were arrested, a female American among them.
The anti-occupation rally also saw erupt between protesters and the Israeli forces.
The protest was staged in the West Bank's Turmus Ayya town, where a Palestinian official, Ziad Abu Ein, responsible for issues related to Israeli settlements, died last week in a clash with Israeli forces.
Demonstrations have been held regularly in the West Bank since the Israeli prime minister announced his government's decision to construct new settlements in territory intruding into the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
