"We decided on Thursday [December 25] to agree on applications for the Minsk talks, sent our proposals to OSCE [Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe]. But, at the moment, we have not received any response to our draft application nor an invitation to Minsk," the news agency quoted Denis Pushilin as saying.
On Monday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France have agreed to hold a new meeting of the so-called Contact Group in Belarusian capital Minsk on December 24 and 26. The first meeting took place on Wednesday, with the date of another round of talks yet undetermined.
The Contact Group on Ukrainian crisis reconciliation previously met in the Belarusian capital Minsk on September 5 and 19.
Kiev and independence supporters, through the mediation of Russia and OSCE, reached a breakthrough ceasefire agreement.
The warring parties, however, have accused each other of violating the Minsk agreement multiple times.
