Thousands Shut Down Streets in Peaceful LA Rally
16:47 GMT 27.12.2014 (Updated: 06:20 GMT 28.12.2014) Local media estimated that about 5,000 people turned out for the “Millions March for First Amendment Rights” in Los Angeles, Saturday.
The marching started around 2 p.m. at Pan Pacific Park and police closed off streets around 1:15 p.m. along the proposed march route to give the protesters safe passage.
The protest was one of many against police brutality in L.A., Ferguson and New York taking place around several major American cities, Saturday.
