More than 2,000 people have stated that they will attend the march in support of US policemen, according to the rally organizers' Facebook page called "Stop the Crime… Rally to Support Our Police." Over 26,000 people have been invited via the web page.
"We are invading the town center neighborhood," pro-police rally organizers" Facebook page said.
Virginia Beach rally will start at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at Pembroke Mall, Sears parking and will march to Town Center Courtyard.
The rally comes in the wake of the murder of two New York police officers on December 20. NYPD's Wenjian Liu, 32, and Rafael Ramos, 40, were shot and killed by Ishmaayil Brinsley in alleged revenge for African-Americans being killed by US policemen.
Public outrage against police violence in the United States has recently been ignited by grand jury decisions not to indict the two white police officers who killed Eric Garner and Michael Brown.
The number of deaths of US police officers on duty increased by 24 percent in 2014, according to a report by US National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
