The bill was passed by the Ukrainian parliament, known as the Verkhovna Rada on Monday. The budget is based on the inflation rate of 13.1 percent.
Ukraine's Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said earlier the budget was in for a prompt review by February 15, "depending on the results of negotiations with international financial institutions".
The outgoing year was marred by Ukraine's struggle to find a way out of a monetary crisis that has left its economy in shambles. To help restore the economy, authorities in Kiev have sought financial assistance from international money lenders.
In spring, the International Monetary Fund promised Kiev a total of $17 billion in bailout loans, to be provided over the course of two years. So far, Ukraine has received two tranches, amounting to $4.55 billion.
