MOSCOW, January 4 (Sputnik) — Dozens of Houthis have been killed in an explosion in eastern Yemen, a local security source told Sputnik on Sunday.
The explosion took place at the Houthis’ regional headquarters in the Yemeni city of Dhamar, some 100 km [62 miles] south of the capital Sanaa, as members of the group were gathered for a meeting. Ambulances rushed to the scene and police surrounded the building.
The group has now decided to move its headquarters to another location, the source said.
The Houthis, a Zaidi Shia insurgent group, has accused the incumbent government in Sanaa of discrimination, organizing major rallies and seizing control in parts of the country.
