Former Congressman and three-time presidential candidate Ron Paul, urging an end to what he called “U.S. hyper-interventionist foreign policy,” gave a series of proposed resolutions to Congress “for America to begin reversing the long, slow slide toward authoritarianism.”

In a piece published Sunday on his website, Paul reiterated calls for reforms he’s long advocated for.

He called on the national legislative assembly to “bring the nation’s troops back home and close all overseas military facilities.”

The libertarian icon also criticized the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy, saying it benefits the rich and harms the poor.

“Pass the Audit the Fed bill — The American people deserve to know the entire truth about how the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy benefits big-spending politicians and financial elites while harming average Americans,” he wrote.

Addressing the unconstitutionality of NSA spying, Paul advocated for repealing the USA PATRIOT Act that has been extended several times since it was first passed in 2005, to “restore respect for the Fourth Constitutional Amendment,” which prohibits unreasonable search and seizure and requires warrants to be  judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause.

He also called for shutting down the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

“Treating all American air travelers as criminal suspects and subjecting them to intrusive and humiliating searches does nothing to enhance our security. Congress should shut down TSA and return responsibility for airline security to the airlines. Private businesses can effectively protect their customers and employees if the government gets out of the way.”

The former Texas Republican representative went on to recommend the “dismantling [of] the corporate welfare state by killing the Export-Import Bank and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation,”  saying they “cause economic inequality, distort the market, and waste taxpayer money.”

Obamacare also received its share of criticism  in Paul’s 2015 resolutions.

“Congress should both repeal all federal policies that distort the healthcare market and restore a true free market in health care,” adding that the Affordable Care Act  is causing Americans to lose their insurance and is burdening others with  increasing health costs.

He also called on Congress to “end all federal programs that provide military equipment to local police forces and de-fund all federal education programs and return control over education to local communities and parents.”

Allowing individuals to “opt out” was also a priority for Paul, as he encouraged giving young people the choice to refuse paying into Social Security and Medicare in exchange for pledging to  never accept Social Security and Medicare benefits later on.

In his list of resolutions, he further recommended reinforcing the Bill of Rights’ Tenth Amendment by allowing states to pass their own independent laws in regards to Obamacare and legalizing marijuana.
