"(The hospital) is currently treating eight children and one adult from the school bus crash on Hudson Avenue this morning. All are currently under evaluation and all appear to have non-life-threatening injuries,” Strong Memorial Hospital said in a statement as quoted by Rochester Media. News10NBC added that the driver of the bus that crashed into a tree died at the scene.

However, the local Fire Department stated that as many as ten children on board had been hospitalized, four of them with serious but non-life-threatening injuries and six with minor injuries.
According to local media reports, the bus was heading south on Hudson Avenue at around 7:00 am local time (12:00 GMT) when it crashed into another school bus and hit a tree. The crash scene has been cordoned off by police.
