PARIS, January 8 (Sputnik) – A gunman who opened fire in Porte de Chatillon, in the outskirts of Paris, earlier on Thursday and injured a police officer has been detained, French broadcaster RTL radio reported Thursday.
According to the radio network, the shooting started at around 07:00 GMT, when an unknown gunman fired at two police officers, injuring one of them.
RTL reported that investigators are not linking the incident to the attack on the office of Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris that took place on Wednesday, in which three gunmen killed 12 people and injured 11.
