MOSCOW, January 9 (Sputnik) — Four of the 11 people injured in the Charlie Hebdo attack are still hospitalized, but their lives are no longer in danger, French newspaper Le Monde reported Friday.
Four victims of the deadly attack were taken to hospitals in Paris in critical condition on Wednesday. They were operated on Thursday evening, according to a press release of France's central Ile-de-France Regional Health Agency.
Earlier in the day, seven other people hospitalized following the terror attack, left the medical facilities in Paris, the health agency reported Thursday.
On Wednesday, alleged Islamic extremists burst into the editorial office of Charlie Hebdo weekly newspaper and opened fire on those present, mostly journalists. The attack killed 12 people.
The main suspects are two brothers, French nationals of Algerian origin Said and Cherif Kouachi. They are reportedly barricaded in a building northeast of Paris with one hostage, currently holding talks with law enforcement.
