PARIS, January 9 (Sputnik) – The Prefecture of Police of Paris has instructed the hospitals in the department of Seine-et-Marne to be ready for a potential influx of injured as the siege of the suspected criminals is underway, Le Figaro said.
Two main suspects, French nationals of Algerian origin Said and Cherif Kouachi, are believed to be behind the Wednesday attack at the office of the Charlie Hebdo satirical weekly magazine in the French capital, which killed 12 people.
On Friday, the brothers reportedly took a hostage and are holed up in the town of Dammartin-en-Goele, some 26 miles from Paris, surrounded by law enforcement.
