MOSCOW, January 11 (Sputnik) — A total 161 flights were delayed and 32 cancelled in Moscow's airports on Sunday due to the bad weather conditions, according to the online schedule of the flights.
As of 6 p.m. local time (15:00 GMT), Domodedovo airport delayed 94 and cancelled 9 flights. Another 35 flights have been delayed and 23 cancelled in Sheremetyevo. Vnukovo airport delayed 32 flights.
Russian federal aviation agency Rosaviation earlier told RIA Novosti that the Moscow airports are provided with the required amount of deicing fluid for the aircraft and anti-ice agents for several days ahead.
It has been snowing heavily in Moscow on Sunday, with the temperature standing at 30°F and humidity reaching 100 percent.
