MOSCOW, January 12 (Sputnik) – Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch was utterly criticized on Twitter after making controversial statements about Muslims following the France terror attacks, reports Business Insider.
In his tweet Murdoch said that “most Moslems” – even if peaceful – must be held responsible for the religion’s “growing jihadist cancer” in the wake of the terror attacks in France, reports The Guardian.
Maybe most Moslems peaceful, but until they recognize and destroy their growing jihadist cancer they must be held responsible.

The News Corp. CEO appeared to suggest that all Muslims, even those who don't support extremist views, should answer for those who carry out terror attacks.
The tweet angered many who criticized Murdoch for holding a religion of billions of peaceful people responsible for the actions of a minority of extremists.
@rupertmurdoch "they" as in most Muslims????? You can't hold an entire religion of billions responsive for the actions of a few

Among those slamming Murdoch's remarks on Twitter were author J.K. Rowling and actor/comedian Aziz Ansari. Both pointed out the hypocrisy in his statements.
J.K. Rowling said, “I was born Christian. If that makes Rupert Murdoch my responsibility, I’ll auto-excommunicate,” she tweeted on Sunday.

Rowling went further by saying sarcastically that she takes responsibility for the atrocities of the Spanish Inquisition: “The Spanish Inquisition was my fault, as is all Christian fundamentalist violence.” She added: “Oh, and Jim Bakker” – a reference to the American televangelist, whose New Year message included bitter attacks on “these people” (Muslims) and claims that God had revealed to him that the US military will never win another war, because the US is backing abortion, secularization, and breaking the Ten Commandments, as reported by The Guardian.
.@dom209 The Spanish Inquisition was my fault, as is all Christian fundamentalist violence. Oh, and Jim Bakker.

One Twitter user referred to Murdoch’s own responsibility in the case of the News Corp phone-hacking scandal, while the Australian comedian Adam Hills was cynical about the media mogul’s contribution to the debate.
@rupertmurdoch In the same way that you must be held responsible for ordering the hacking of the voicemails of dead school children?

Oh good, Rupert Murdoch has waded into the Charlie Hebdo debate. I was wondering what an outdated, bigoted, sociopath might make of it all.

Murdoch responded by a follow up tweet claiming that “political correctness makes for denial and hypocrisy”.
Big jihadist danger looming everywhere from Philippines to Africa to Europe to US. Political correctness makes for denial and hypocrisy.
