MOSCOW, January 13 (Sputnik) — Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said Tuesday that it will not pass comment on a video showing the alleged execution of Russian spies by the Islamic State.
Earlier on Tuesday, a video appeared online, showing the execution of two alleged Russian agents. The seven and a half minute long clip, narrated in Russian, opens with two men explaining that they were allegedly sent by the FSB to infiltrate the Islamic State and kill one of the militant group's leaders.
Following the interrogation, the men are shown on their knees before apparently being shot dead by a child.
The FSB is Russia's best known security agency; however, the organization does not operate outside of the Russian Federation and its involvement in Syria and Iraq is out of the question.
