RT reported that a documentary detailing the harrowing story of flight MH-17 that crashed in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region is set to premiere on RTD Saturday.

MOSCOW, January 16 (Sputnik) — A documentary detailing the harrowing story of flight MH-17 that crashed in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region is set to premiere on RTD channel Saturday, RT reported on Friday.

According to the network, "Reflections on MH17" compiles extensive interviews with flight victims' relatives, lawyers, journalists and military experts.

The film also explores possible reasons behind the stalled investigation of the airliner's fate. "Reflections on MH-17" will feature expert opinions and analysis of western media coverage of the tragedy, the network added.

The Dutch broadcaster RTL Nieuws has said that it possesses photos that prove that the MH17 crash was caused by an anti-aircraft missile fired from the ground. - Sputnik International
Dutch Broadcaster Claims to Have Proof Showing Real Reasons of MH17 Crash
The latest documentary follows "MH-17: The Untold Story," an account of previously unheard witness testimonies and wartime access to the crash site, broadcast on RTD last October.

Nearly 300 people died in the Malaysia Airlines plane crash in eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014. A Dutch Safety Board preliminary report implied that the Boeing 777 aircraft was crippled by a number of high-energy objects.

The United States and Ukraine were quick to blame the tragedy on Donetsk region militias, who were accused of downing flight MH-17 with a Russia-made Buk missile system. These claims have never been confirmed.

Last month, a former Ukrainian airbase employee alleged that the plane had been shot down by a Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft carrying an air-to-air missile. The witness also identified the jet's pilot, however the Ukrainian Security Service said he was not on duty the day the Malaysian aircraft crashed.
