MOSCOW, January 20 (Sputnik) — Prophet Muhammad’s strand of hair, a holy Muslim relic, will be brought to Moscow from the North Caucasian Republic of Dagestan by either a private jet or in first class of a passenger plane, an official representative of the Moscow Spiritual Muslim Board told Sputnik.
Due to security concerns the relic will not be displayed in mosques but will be demonstrated in the lobby of a major concert hall. Due to similar concerns the exact date of the display has not been announced yet but will be told to Sputnik by the official representative of the event.
The hair will be delivered in a special capsule where it is being stored permanently. In order to keep it safe it will be put in a container made of transparent glass.
It will be possible to view the relic through a special magnifying glass.
