Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open tournament in Melbourne for the fifth time in his career on Sunday, R-Sport reported.

MOSCOW, February 1 (Sputnik) Djokovic beat Britain's Andy Murray in the final match that took place in Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne. The match lasted 3 hours 39 minutes, with Djokovic beating his opponent in four sets with the scores of 7:6 (7:5), 6:7 (4:7), 6:3, 6:0.

Djokovic previously won the Australian Open title in 2008 and 2011-2013.
