Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis is expected to meet his German counterpart, Wolfgang Schaeuble, on Thursday to discuss the future of Greek economy, AFP reports.
The Greek authorities seek to renegotiate the terms of the country’s bailout with the troika of international lenders and find new sources of investment to restore the county’s economic growth. Germany is seen as one of the main critics of this policy.
The meeting comes after the European Central Bank (ECB) toughened its stance on Greece by refusing to accept Greek government bonds as security for loans, according to DPA news agency.
