The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic plans to launch its own mobile network operator, DPR’s Minister of Communication Victor Yatsenko said. It will take up to five weeks, he added. The service may also cover the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic.
Earlier this week, the largest mobile network operator in Ukraine, Kyivstar, temporarily suspended cellphone service in parts of DPR and LPR, citing malfunction.
