Syria Urges Jordan to Fight Islamic State, Other Terrorist Groups Together
Ekaterina Blinova — The United Arab Emirates has ordered to send an F-16 squadron to Jordan in order to join the country's air campaign against the Islamic State.

Reportedly, it was Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahayan, deputy head of the UAE armed forces, who ordered to deploy the F-16 warplanes in Jordan. The move is aimed at joining Jordan's air campaign against the Islamic State.

The exact number of F-16 fighting jets to be involved in the mission has not yet been specified. After the crash of a Jordanian warplane resulted in the capture of Muath al-Kasaesbeh by Islamic State insurgents, the UAE withdrew from the anti-ISIL US-led coalition air strikes, citing safety concerns.

However, Abu Dhabi has recently claimed it would rejoin the mission.  King of Jordan, Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein, outraged by the execution of Muath Kasaesbeh, has pledged "relentless war" in retaliation against the Islamic State.
