According to the news outlet, the security forces were reportedly instructed to shoot any person who broke the curfew.
On Friday, an Egyptian civilian was shot and killed by security forces at a checkpoint in Sheikh Zuweid town of North Sinai.
The curfew was imposed in parts of Sinai in October 2014, following a deadly attack which killed over 30 security personnel. On January 29, other four separate attacks on security forces in North Sinai left at least 29 people and injured another 50.
With continuing clashes between security forces and militants in the region, the curfew was extended to April this year.
Egypt has been in turmoil since the wake of the Arab Spring, when the 2011 revolution forced former President Hosni Mubarak out of power after an over 30-year rule. The dominant Sinai Province militant group aims to topple the government and take control of the country.
