Iranian Air Force Commander Brigadier General Hassan Shah Safi announced on Tuesday that the country is optimizing hi-tech weapons systems with high precision strike capabilities and building a new generation of missiles, reported the Iranian news agency.
He stressed that the Iranian Air Force enjoys expertise in electronic warfare and is skilled at increasing the flying range of its fighter jets, directing aerial refueling and mounting defensive weapons on combat fighters.
The Iranian Armed Forces recently test-fired various types of newly-developed missiles and torpedoes and tested a large number of home-made weapons, tools and equipment, including submarines, military ships, artillery, choppers, aircrafts, UAVs and air defense and electronic systems, during massive military drills.
